This Privacy Policy explains how Solar X (“we”, “us”) handles data when our internal software connects to QuickBooks Online through Intuit’s API. This application is operated by Solar X for its own internal financial operations and is not offered to the public.
1Information we access
With your authorization, our application reads financial data from your QuickBooks Online company, which may include invoices, estimates, customers, payments, accounts, and standard financial reports. We request read access for routine operations and treat any write access as restricted and reviewed.
2How we use the information
We use QuickBooks data solely for internal Solar X purposes, including financial reporting, accounts receivable monitoring, cash position tracking, and reconciliation. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties for advertising or any unrelated purpose.
3Storage and security
- Access tokens are stored on a private, access controlled machine and are never published.
- All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS).
- Access is limited to authorized Solar X personnel who require it for their role.
- We do not store more QuickBooks data than is needed for the operation being performed.
4Data retention and your control
We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes described above. You may revoke our access at any time from within QuickBooks Online under Apps, or by disconnecting through your Intuit account. Revoking access stops all further data retrieval.
5Third parties
The only third party involved in this integration is Intuit, the provider of QuickBooks Online. Use of QuickBooks data complies with Intuit’s terms. We do not transfer your data to any other processor for this integration.
6Compliance
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario law.
