WHY GO SOLAR IN PEI?
RISING UTILITY RATE
At 14.37 cents per KWH PEI has one of the highest cost per KWH in Canada. Prince Edward Island is one of the few provinces that will credit excess production at the 100% utility rate value. Therefore 1 KWH export to the grid will be credit at $14.37 cents per KWH along with any future rate increase, making going solar the best way to hedge your rising electricity cost forever.

GOVERNMENT INCENTIVES
FEDERAL GREEN HOMES PROGRAM
Canadian homeowners may be eligible for grants up to $5,000 for the purchase and installation of energy efficiency home upgrades. You must be eligible for an EnerGuide home evaluation to access rebates on insulation, window and door replacements, and more.
FEDERAL GST/HST NEW HOUSING REBATE
Homeowners may be eligible to recover a portion of the GST or HST that they paid for newly constructing or substantial renovated homes. This rebate may be useful if you’re making a large investment in energy efficiency upgrades

EfficiencyPEI offers home energy audits at the subsidized cost of $99.
PACE ATLANTIC PROGRAM - Charlottetown & Stratford PEI
PACE Atlantic is providing an interest-free loan of up to $40,000 for up to 15 years to aid in the investment capital required to go solar. PACE Atlantic’s purpose is to provide low-carbon programs for Canadian municipalities that help homeowners invest in energy efficiency and solar. This program can be combined with both the EfficiencyPEI and Greener Homes rebate, totaling up to $15,000 in rebates and an additional $40,000 in interest-free loans. This makes Charlottetown and Stratford some of the most affordable cities in Canada to go solar.
